Position Overview:

  • As our Activity Coordinator, you'll play a key role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by planning and organizing a variety of activities.
  • From arts and crafts to outings and game nights, you'll have the chance to infuse fun and excitement into their routines.
  • Oversee and manage the life enrichment of both the Assisted Living and Memory Care divisions of the community. 


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a variety of engaging activities, events, and outings for residents with the help of a full time assistant. This may include games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, educational sessions, and more.
  • Assist in coordinating outings and special events, ensuring a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Occasionally serve as a driver for outings, ensuring the safe and enjoyable transportation of residents.
  • Assist residents with mobility or other needs during outings or activities, providing support as required.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their interests and preferences.
  • Encourage resident participation and create a positive and inclusive activity environment.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and inviting activity space.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment for activities and outings are prepared and available.
  • Engage actively with residents, fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere during activities and outings to encourage participation and social interaction.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning activity areas before and after events, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with seniors and creating enjoyable experiences.
  • Valid License and Clean driving record.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and implementing a variety of activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt activities to cater to diverse interests and mobility levels.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
