We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, highly proficient in woodworking, framing, cabinetry, and finishing, along with the ability to manage a team and ensure the highest quality of work. The Carpenter will work on residential, commercial projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Measure, layout, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, plastic, and other materials.
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, flooring, and cabinetry.
  • Repair existing wooden structures and furniture.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure projects meet safety regulations and building codes.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
  • Collaborate with clients, supervisors, and other tradespeople.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related field.
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of wood properties and other construction materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or apprenticeship in carpentry.
  • Experience in carpentry, framing, finish or a related field.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and building codes.

Work Environment:

  • Work may involve indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and noise.
  • Requires standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials.
