Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy experience, a current CMA license, and the ability to provide high-quality care in a pediatric setting. Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient intake, including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures.
  • Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications as directed by physicians.
  • Perform phlebotomy duties, including drawing blood and handling specimens.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate information and timely follow-up.
  • Maintain patient records in an electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide patient education and answer questions regarding treatment plans, medications, and office procedures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and patient areas.
  • Assist in managing medical supplies and inventory, ensuring necessary items are stocked.
  • Support pediatric patients and families with a caring and friendly approach.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and clinical protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
