Job Description

Blair Freeman, an Omaha based construction company is currently hiring for a Construction Project Manager who will be responsible for both commercial and residential construction. This will include all aspects of construction including estimating, budgeting, procurement, contract management, scheduling and cost control as well as building relationships with clients, stakeholders and design teams.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Support preconstruction coordination: review estimates, quantities, scopes, bid packages, and schedules.
  • Lead project through efficient management of the budget, scope and schedule.
  • Perform as the single point of contact for projects as assigned
  • Create and oversee safety plans on all projects
  • Create and execute buyout plans: validate pricing, scopes, and issue contracts.
  • Manage submittal schedules.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders.
  • Lead project coordination meetings.
  • Complete monthly pay applications.
  • Prepare project schedules with input from the superintendent and team.
  • Identify long lead items and manage resources to meet project schedules.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained.
  • Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts, change management and report project status.
  • Lead project closeout processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes, and schedules.
  • Prioritize safety, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment properly.
  • Recognize the importance of teamwork, balancing responsibilities, welcoming feedback, and supporting team success.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent relevant experience considered.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in construction.
