Job Description

Project Manager - Electrical Construction

  • Candidate must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Experience in electrical construction is required

Del Monte Electric, a recognized "Best Places to Work" recipient by the San Francisco Business Times, is currently seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team as a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to our team's collaborative, energetic, and innovative culture. A brief summary of the qualifications needed for this position are as follows:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management or electrical engineering, or equivalent trade experience.
  • Experience in utilizing Accubid electrical estimating software.
  • Experience in managing design/build and conceptual estimating from bridging documents through SD, DD, and CD.
  • Ability to lead projects and project teams with minimal supervision, with a project value ranging from less than $1 million to $10 million.
  • Experience in acquiring information from architects/engineers necessary to create the conceptual estimate.
  • Proficiency in developing project budget, schedule of values, and internal productivity tracking documents.
  • Proficiency in issuing vendor purchase orders and subcontracts, and managing them from the submittal phase through project execution and closeout.
  • Ability to create and manage all project tracking logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.).
  • Ability to provide mentorship and training to project engineers to ensure growth and development.
  • Willingness to work as a collaborative project management team member.
  • Experience in bidding and managing healthcare, laboratory, higher education, and K-12 projects.
  • Basic understanding of BIM, 3-D coordination, and MEP, structural, and architectural systems.
  • Must have the ability to verify BOMs from vendors and subcontractors for accuracy.
  • Understanding of and experience with Lean Construction and Integrated Project Delivery concepts is a plus.

Our office is located in Dublin, CA, conveniently accessible to the greater Bay Area. The compensation for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience.
