Job Summary:
The objective of the Insights Team is centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision making from the coordinator level all the way to the Executive level.
The role of the Director of Data Science , a member of the Insights Team, is to take the masses of data delivered by each business partner and translate into intuitive data visualizations at scale, empowering employees to obtain the data they need in a timely, seamless, and visual manner. Leveraged by employees across multiple business units, the Insights Team acts as a single source of truth for critical company information, serving every core department.
The Director of Data Science is responsible for leading the analytics function to drive data-informed decisions across the organization. The role will leverage data to optimize content distribution, enhance audience engagement, and drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the music industry, advanced analytical skills, and be effective in presenting data that is actionable for key stakeholders. The Director of Data Science will deal with all aspects of a project from knowing what’s important to the business, to data collection and analysis, and finally to data visualization and presentations to lines of business and the executive team.

Required experience:
At least 5-7 years of experience with managing and transforming big data in excess of 1 billion rows, data analytics and insights within the music industry, preferably using AI / ML modeling data analysis tools and techniques to drive significant change in an organization.
