The Electrical Systems Department is a design-focused group of engineers specializing in advanced hardware-based solutions. Share your resume with us today!** **Primary Responsibilities** + System level electrical architecture and design + Creating block diagrams, electrical system requirements, cable specifications, and cable drawings + Parts selection and derating activities + New hardware design verification testing + Support system level integration activities **Basic Qualifications** + Candidate must possess aBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution + Candidate must have8+years of experienceinhardware system design and test from architecture through implementation or 4+ years with MS degree + Candidate must have experience with technical problem solving and root cause analysis + Candidate must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams + Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment + Candidate must have the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system block diagrams + Candidate must have cable design experience + Candidate must haveproven understanding of fundamental circuits and circuit components + Candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods + Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently + Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance + Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with leading small to mid-sized technical teams. + Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 and IPC J-STD-001 Standards. + Electrical design for military hardware or aerospace systems + Experience supporting cable production + Experience with high power applications + Familiarity with AS50881 NASA Derating Standard + Cable design experience using SolidWorks Electrical, Creo Schematic, Draftsight **Original Posting:** June 13, 2025 For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. **Pay Range:** Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
