Elite Casino Resorts is looking for passionate, service-oriented individuals to be part of the team to open our newest resort property, Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack, located in Ogallala, Nebraska. Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack, which is scheduled to open in Fall 2025, will become our sixth resort property. Position Summary :

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all buildings, grounds, systems and infrastructure at the property. This includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems and custodial services. This position will ensure the property meets all regulatory compliance standards and supports a clean, safe and well-maintained environment for our guests and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and guests. Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to enable successful daily operations of the department, to include delegating and assigning work.
  • Responsible for leading and managing a team, to include hiring, on-boarding, training, setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, coaching, and managing employee performance/conduct concerns as needed.
  • Responsible for motivating and mentoring staff, promoting collaboration and teamwork, with the goal of fostering a team-first culture that best enables the success of both the individual and team.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage based on business needs, managing time-off requests, and timely review/approval of payroll to ensure accurate pay of each team member.
  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the facility, including casino, resort amenities, and surrounding parking lot and grounds.
  • Manage and lead a team that includes maintenance, environmental services and receiving/warehouse.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance and repair programs for all systems and equipment.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, renovations, and construction in coordination with contractors, vendors, and company leadership.
  • Monitor and control facilities budgets, including labor, supplies, utilities, and capital expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Respond to emergency issues related to building, equipment and grounds promptly and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to support special events, operational needs, and ensure seamless guest service.
  • Maintain accurate records for inspections, warranties, vendor agreements, and maintenance logs.
  • Oversee procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment while managing inventory and costs.
  • Foster a safety-first culture, promoting training, hazard prevention, and proper equipment use across the department.
  • Acts as a liaison with city, county and state, as it relates to fire and fire detection/prevention systems.
  • Maintains and enforces all applicable OSHA programs within the facility department.
  • Responsible for identifying and overseeing all contractual services related to the facility (e.g. snow removal, fire services, elevators, maintenance contracts, janitorial services, trash removal, etc.).
  • Develops and presents recommendations for the improvement of the facility and oversees implementation of approved projects.
  • Develops and recommends capital improvement budget requests regarding the buildings and equipment within the facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent in related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management in a high-volume hospitality, casino, resort or comparable environment, to include experience working with heating, cooling and ventilation systems, electrical, plumbing and related aspects of facility maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of building and life safety systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, contractors, and capital projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certificates & Licenses:

  • Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Nebraska Gaming License.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, with weekends, nights and holidays as business demands.
  • Must have ability to respond timely to urgent issues related to the building, equipment or grounds that may occur in a 24/7/365 environment.
