Position Summary
This position is responsible for management, administration, and coordination of safety, health, and environmental policies and compliance for CMA CGM Group entities located in the United States. The position is also responsible for working with the U.S. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Officer and the U.S. Governance Team to provide assistance with risks related to Safety, Security and Environmental matters. 

Functions & Duties

•    SSE Compliance: Work with Vice President of Compliance, CCA HSE Compliance officer and Head Office Safety, Security, and Environmental office to maintain, evaluate, and improve safety, health, and environmental policies for CMA CGM Group global operations in the United States (marine, port, inland and cargo). To include international and domestic cargo regulations/procedures to ensure compliance.   20% 
•    Safety-Related Investigations: Conduct safety-related incident investigations, support Group response to safety-related incidents and ensure effective corrective actions and continual improvement in business processes for safety, health, and environmental compliance along with SSE related matters. Perform and report SSE risk analysis, vulnerability, and supply-chain safety/security assessments. Perform and report internal audits to ensure that measures and programs in place are effective, and make recommendations to mitigate exposure or risk, where applicable. Review and audit processes and activities to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved. 20%
•    Enviromental Compliance: Manage CARB environmental regulatory compliance programs, including but not limited to Shore Power compliance program, under the direction of CCA HSE Compliance Officer, including record keeping, data entry and data integrity. Organize and compile supporting documents for relief measures, annual compliance report, CARB audits and/or internal audits. Act as a liaison with CARB staff, in coordination with HSE Compliance officer. Support HSE Compliance Officer for U.S. Cleanwater Act Vessel General Permit Program.    25%
•    C-TPAT Compliance: Manage compliance with CTPAT program for all Group U.S. entities and brands, including but not limited CMA, ANL, and APL. Review and validate partner/customer supply chain security surveys for adherence to C-TPAT Minimum Security Standards. Serve as liaison with customers, vendors, suppliers or other 3rd parties regarding CTPAT compliance.  Ensure security incidents in link with CTPAT Program are effectively reported to our CTPAT SCSS.   25%
•    Environmental Incentive Programs: Manage the application, verification, and maintenance of various environmental incentive, benefit, and corporate recognition programs for North America in coordination with the Director of Sustainability.   5%
•    MISCELLANEOUS RELATED DUTIES OR PROJECTS AS REQUIRED    5%

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 
•    Familiarity with the maritime and intermodal transportation industry and regulations, including Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, U.S. Coast Guard, Environmental Protection Agency
•    Knowledge of International shipping logistics and transportation. 
•    Familiarity with legal concepts, statutes, and regulations, related to ocean carriage and admiralty.

• Familiarity with the maritime transportation industry regulations, including Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, U.S. Coast Guard, Environmental Protection Agency, California Air Resource Board, etc
