Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and handle insurance coverage denials, focusing on first-party insurance issues.
• Draft coverage opinions, declination letters, and other legal documents with precision.
• Advise clients on risk exposure, policy interpretation, and litigation strategies.
• Manage multiple cases independently while collaborating with a team on complex matters.
• Develop case strategies with a strong analytical mindset to assess risks and outcomes.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation proceedings.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active Illinois Bar membership.
• 2-6 years of dedicated experience in insurance coverage (not occasional coverage work).
• Strong analytical skills for case strategy, risk assessment, and policy interpretation.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive work ethic and ability to manage multiple cases.
• Passion for delivering client-focused solutions and building lasting relationships.
