Logistics Assistant - Mount Prospect, IL

$22 - $25/Hour, +Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, 401(k)

We specialize in high-priority air freight operations that keep supply chains moving across the globe. We're currently looking for a Logistics Assistant to help coordinate, track, and manage cargo in one of the most dynamic environments in logistics.

This role is fast-paced, hands-on, and right at the heart of international trade. You'll support air freight operations from takeoff to touchdown, making sure that cargo clears customs, reaches the right plane, and hits its deadline.

Requirements;

• Prepare and process customer orders with accuracy, coordinate shipment logistics, issue invoices, and provide billing documentation as requested.
• Perform accurate data entry for order tracking, inventory management, and shipment documentation, ensuring timely updates and correct records.
• Determine optimal routing for shipments and schedule carriers for timely pick-up and delivery of loads.
• Handle all customer and consumer inquiries via phone and email with professionalism, offering prompt and knowledgeable support on order and product-related matters.
• Establish new vendor relationships while maintaining and strengthening existing partnerships to support reliable supply chain operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party carriers, ensuring all outbound orders are correctly processed and shipped from warehouse locations.
• Generate all necessary shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and shipping labels, in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues, including pricing discrepancies, to ensure satisfaction and maintain service excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
• Exceptional phone etiquette and a professional demeanor to provide outstanding customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
• The ability to collaborate effectively and work within a team environment
