Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing will serve as a key leader and be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition (B2B), and revenue growth within targeted geographies. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that requires a balance of creative thinking, analytical rigor, and executional excellence.

Reporting directly to the COO, this leadership position is responsible for increasing lead generation, improving conversion rates, optimizing cost-per-lead, expanding marketing channels, and collaborating closely with the sales team. This role also involves managing and mentoring at least one team member and fostering a collaborative culture within the marketing department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive, data-driven marketing strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, PR, partnerships, events).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, customer service, product) to ensure marketing efforts enhance lead quality, improve conversion, address regional needs, and support broader company goals.

Lead Generation & Conversion:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase warm leads.
  • Establish and optimize processes to track and improve lead-to-client conversion rates after baseline data collection.

HubSpot: CRM and Marketing Automation:

  • Lead the deployment and utilization of HubSpot across the Sales and Marketing departments.
  • Define and document HubSpot best practices and data hygiene requirements.
  • Develop dashboards to accurately report, analyze, and optimize sales and marketing efficiency.

Marketing Channel Optimization:

  • Monitor and optimize cost-per-lead metrics to maximize efficiency as lead volume grows.
  • Identify, launch, and assess the impact of new marketing channels (e.g., influencer partnerships).

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and manage at least one direct report, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Optimize third-party vendor spending and performance to ensure maximum campaign effectiveness and return on investment.

Brand Management:

  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all marketing channels.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify national sales opportunities and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Create and execute product launch campaigns.
  • Manage the company’s online reputation.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7- 10+ years of marketing experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role required.
  • Proven success in B2B lead generation, conversion optimization, and cost-per-lead analysis.
  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrable experience with HubSpot development, best practices, and optimization is required.
  • Experience with diverse marketing channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to leverage data for informed decision-making.
