Job Summary:

The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and models of sheet metal fabrications and weldments for our client. This role will require strong proficiency in SolidWorks and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed drawings and models of sheet metal fabrications and weldments using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and other required documentation.
• Conduct tolerance studies and stress analyses to ensure design integrity.
• Create and maintain detailed assembly drawings and component drawings.
• Research and select appropriate materials and components for designs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication design and/or weldment design.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
