Job Description:

Lectrosonics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior RF Design Engineer to join our dynamic and talented team. In this role, you will design and develop circuits for critical components of wireless microphone systems, working at the forefront of RF, analog, mixed-signal, and digital technologies. You will contribute to groundbreaking projects that shape the future of professional audio while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex circuits across RF, analog, mixed-signal, and digital domains.
  • Create simulation models, define requirements, and conduct design reviews.
  • Select key circuit components and simulate circuit performance.
  • Own the project design process, including placement, routing, fabrication, and assembly packages, and support testing of PCBs.
  • Develop test specifications and support manufacturing releases.
  • Collaborate effectively with Electrical, Mechanical, and Software engineers, as well as with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Established expertise in electronics, with demonstrated experience in RF circuit design.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles and theories, including signal cascade, impedance matching, noise figure, stability, distortion, and modulation types.
  • Experience designing digital or analog receivers and low-powered transmitters (500 to 2500 MHz).
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design, with familiarity in CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
  • Broad knowledge of RF circuitry design and systems to the discrete component level, including simulation and analysis software.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.
  • Familiarity with DSP, FPGA, or digital circuit design is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing skills for documenting design specifications.
  • BS degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
