Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Define product specifications, requirements, functionalities, and design goals for RF assemblies.
  • Conduct initial and detailed designs of RF assemblies, including performance analysis and simulation.
  • Oversee the creation of test plans and procedures for subassemblies.
  • Supervise and actively participate in the integration, testing, and validation of new and upgraded products.
  • Assess customer needs in relation to upconverter and downconverter functionality.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in designing, simulating, prototyping, and testing RF circuits across a broad frequency spectrum, from L-band to Ka-band, specifically solid-state power amplifiers
  • Proficient in RF circuit layout and schematic design.
  • Skilled in documenting and creating product test protocols.
  • Facilitating the transition of products from engineering to manufacturing.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and research developments in the RF industry and academia.
  • Monitor competitor products and technological advancements.

Required Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge in RF/microwave circuit design and testing.
  • Experience in the analysis and development of frequency conversion components (such as upconverters and downconverters).
  • Proficient with tools like Microwave Office for microwave circuit design.
  • Skilled in using electromagnetic simulation software like HFSS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics with a minimum of 10 years of experience in RF/microwave communication systems, component design, testing, and validation; or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require regular typing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods during work.
