Our challenge

We are seeking a talented React Developer to join our dynamic team focused on building high-performance trading applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development, specifically using React.js, and an understanding of financial markets and trading systems.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York City, NY is $120k - $140K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop user-friendly, responsive web applications using React.js and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high performance on various devices and browsers.
  • Implement real-time data feeds into the trading applications, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications, performing root cause analysis to improve performance and usability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our applications.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with Zustand or similar state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of sprints, backlog management, and continuous integration.
  • Experience with code reviews, adhering to best practices, and enforcing clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and business analysts.
  • Strong experience with React development.
  • Fluent in English and able to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with other front-end frameworks (e.g. Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme).
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
