Refrigeration Technician

$30 - $45 p/h

4am - 4pm or 4pm - 4am shift available

2-2-3 schedule

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration, with the ability to perform equipment repairs and property maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, maintaining, and designing refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment, including ammonia systems.
• Maintain and repair spiral freezers.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues within HVAC systems.
• Conduct property maintenance tasks related to refrigeration units and associated equipment.
• Build and design refrigeration systems tailored to specific operational needs.
• Weld components as necessary to ensure the integrity of refrigeration systems.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inspections performed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in equipment repair, particularly in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is needed.
• RETA 1 or 2 certification highly desirable
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
