Title: Senior/Staff Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto - 3x per week

Role Overview:

As a Senior Data Engineer , you will play a critical role in building and optimizing our ETL pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration, and maintaining compliance with healthcare data standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and manage healthcare data at scale.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations and standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, FHIR, CDA, HL7v2).
• Develop and maintain data infrastructure using Azure cloud services , including Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake .
• Implement CI/CD best practices for data engineering workflows, ensuring robust and automated deployments.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools e.g. Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to provision and manage cloud resources.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on ETL pipelining .
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.
• Expertise with healthcare data formats and standards (FHIR, CDA, HL7v2, HITRUST, HIPAA).
• Experience with Azure cloud services , including Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake .
• Familiarity with ETL tools and big data frameworks for scalable processing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and drive data engineering best practices .
