Senior FP&A Analyst

Hybrid | Atlanta, GA

$80,000 to $95,000 +10% annual bonus (Can Overachieve)

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing operational data and insights to support key business areas and strategic initiatives. This includes conducting pricing assessments, house cost analyses, overhead comparisons, marketing funnel analysis, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements. The role will also involve supporting the company’s Value Creation Strategy by leveraging business intelligence (BI) tools, and providing ad hoc analysis support to multiple functions, including Sales, Homebuilding, and Marketing.

The candidate will interface with senior leadership to discuss reporting needs and contribute to new strategic initiatives. Additionally, the role includes the administration of the company's forecasting process and financial planning system, as well as the ongoing improvement of operational tools (e.g., pricing tools, should costing tools).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support current Value Creation reporting using an existing suite of reports
  • Generate and publish various weekly and monthly financial reports via Excel and OLAP-based tools
  • Provide ad hoc analysis support to Sales, Homebuilding, and Marketing functions
  • Maintain, update, and improve operational tools (e.g., pricing tools, should costing tools)
  • Assess overhead drivers to identify opportunities for improvement and benchmarking
  • Administer the company’s forecasting process and financial planning system
  • Conduct analyses of financial and operational data to provide visibility and drive performance
  • Assist in building a fact-based framework for new strategic initiatives
  • Interface with senior leadership to guide business analysis and reporting needs
  • Become an expert in business intelligence tools, working with field personnel to improve processes

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in private industry and/or public accounting
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, charting)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting theory, practice, and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and draw conclusions from large datasets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire and ability to become a “power user” of business intelligence tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership

Required Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent
