Role Overview: As a Senior Functional Controller, you will be the beacon of financial insight for your assigned function(s). Your expertise will not only enhance visibility on operational performance but also foster a culture of financial awareness across the organization. Collaborating closely with local teams, you'll ensure transparency and accuracy, develop impactful management reports, and support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Data-Driven Analysis: Report, analyze, and elucidate operational and financial data (volume, revenue, costs, expenses, investments) for your assigned function(s). - Innovative Reporting: Design and implement cutting-edge methodologies and management reports to amplify operational and financial performance visibility. - Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted business partner, guiding informed decision-making and identifying strategies to enhance financial performance. - Financial Planning: Contribute functional insights to overall financial planning processes, including budget and forecast development. - Cost Optimization: Develop and oversee cost control measures to drive efficiency within your function(s). - Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other Finance departments to streamline information and action needs. - Financial Awareness Champion: Promote financial literacy by coaching and training colleagues within your assigned function(s). - Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough business case analyses on investment proposals, providing actionable recommendations to Finance leadership. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional teams, offering a financial perspective that drives collective success. - Project Leadership: Lead and participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives that align with our strategic goals. - Compliance and Integrity: Implement robust operational processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance and data integrity. Qualifications: - Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. - Experience: 10+ years in relevant roles, with 5+ years in the logistics sector preferred. - Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP, PowerBI, SQL, or Python is a plus. Skills: - Exceptional ability to interpret and influence financial and operational data. - Proven experience in building financial models and reporting structures from the ground up. - Strong business acumen with a focus on data-driven decision-making. - Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and communicating effectively with senior leaders. - Strong problem-solving capabilities and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail. Physical Demands: - This position is primarily office-based, requiring regular sitting for 25 – 75% of the work shift. - Minimal travel required (%).- Regular in-person presence required at our Weston, FL office.
