Job Description:
This is a Temp to Permanent opportunity with a prestigious hospital. You will be supporting surgeons with complex, multispecialty scheduling and you must have the experience and ability to prioritize and make adjustments as schedule changes occur.
Your support responsibilities may include:
• Surgical scheduling/coordination
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Answering the telephone system promptly and gathering screening information; taking, relaying, and managing messages and/or providing routine information. Retrieving voicemail messages, returning calls, and forwarding messages as needed
• Referral management, specialty testing prior authorization, and scheduling of special testing
• Organizing and maintaining patient records, logs and other controlling systems; retrieving files as needed. Developing and maintaining systems to assure accurate, confidential, retrievable information
• Reconciling expense reimbursements for team/provider through PeopleSoft
• Other special projects and administrative tasks that are assigned
Requirements:
Must have 2+ years of EPIC and complex surgical scheduling experience in a high volume outpatient setting
High School graduate or equivalent is required; Associate's degree preferred
