Position Summary: We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our growth design team. Our team works on various business-critical projects aimed at increasing the adoption of the Microsoft 365 suite of products and Copilot among consumers and commercial customers. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing to create cohesive and impactful designs.
- Explore designs and patterns to help customers adopt Copilot for their productivity needs.
- Work independently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while maintaining high standards of design quality.
- Participate in design reviews, share-outs, and presentations to ensure design consistency and alignment.
- Deliver polished design prototypes, mockups, and other communication artifacts that illustrate optimal user experiences.
- Participate in user research efforts and leverage insights to inform design decisions.
- Purpose of the Team: Supporting the growth of AI tools. The team creates and updates user experiences of apps and products to encourage the use of AI. The team works with marketing and product teams to expose touchpoints and encourage the discovery and engagement with AI tools.
- Key projects: This role will contribute to promoting the growth of discovery and use of AI tools by designing processes to support better user experiences in apps and products. The role will collaborate with multiple teams across various geographies, including teams in Ireland and India.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 30-35% meetings, group discussions, brainstorms, flag, and work on issues with various internal teams, and the remainder 65% is hands-on time designing.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end design process.
- Experience with AI tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find innovative solutions.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in driving collaboration across distributed teams.
- Portfolio demonstrating well-thought-through and polished end-to-end customer journeys.
- Bachelor's Degree in Design (or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of industry experience in UX design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and video creation and editing software .
- Strong communication skills and ability to advocate for design solutions.
- Experience designing user experiences for enterprise software/services.
- Experience creating and applying design principles and interaction patterns.
- Minimum 5 years experience with UX design using Figma .
- Minimum 5 years experience with motion editing and design, creating quick short videos .
- Minimum 3 years experience with understanding AI and Large Numerical Models .
- A Portfolio is required with the candidate submission.
- Portfolio Review Required.
- Years of Experience Required: 5 overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role.
- Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous experience working on or designing AI tools, growth for products, and supporting the customer lifecycle. The ideal portfolio showcases prior work and projects and shows off a strong design process instead of just the final product – the portfolio walks through some of the constraints and challenges faced and shows off how they designed around and resolved issues.
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and speed of output and delivery, a good balance of both while working on multiple projects on a fast-paced team.
