Empowered Staffing is partnered with a growing full-service accounting and back-office firm that is seeking a Bookkeeping Manager to join their team in Lakewood, NJ. In this critical leadership role, you will provide strategic and day-to-day support to a team of Bookkeepers, manage key client accounts, facilitate process improvements, and support the launch of new service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review team members’ work for accuracy and completeness.
• Answer team questions and provide daily support and guidance.
• Prepare and review financial reports, delivering high-quality insights to clients.
• Delegate tasks effectively and check in with each team member at least weekly.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across the team.
• Directly manage a portfolio of client accounts.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and full-cycle bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
