The Role:

The Operations Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking training programs for employees across all departments within the Operations division, including Production, Warehouse, Sanitation, and QA. This position ensures that all new hires—primarily temporary workers—receive the required onboarding training before beginning work, and that employees who require remedial or corrective training receive timely, documented instruction.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, highly organized, and fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to occasionally deliver training sessions themselves when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with HR and the Operations Coordinator to track incoming new hires and plan onboarding training prior to their first day on the floor.
  • Develop and maintain standardized training processes and documentation procedures for new hire and corrective trainings.
  • Communicate with department managers and supervisors to confirm when onboarding training is completed and employees are cleared to begin work.
  • Coordinate training for employees who have violated SOPs or other policies, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and appropriately.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver content; personally conduct training when an expert is unavailable.
  • Track all trainings in Excel or similar systems; maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participation and completion.
  • Evaluate whether employees have adequately understood the training content and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, including potential implementation of training assessments or knowledge checks.
  • Communicate and escalate uncompleted or improperly documented trainings to the Operations Coordinator.
  • Ensure all training, communication, and documentation can be effectively delivered in Spanish as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data tracking.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders across departments.
  • Comfortable providing training to both individuals and small groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in training coordination or learning & development.
  • Familiarity with SOPs in production, sanitation, warehouse, or QA settings.
  • Experience creating or improving documentation systems or onboarding workflows.
