The Role x You

The Client Service team is part of the Refinery29 commercial organization, dedicated to developing insight-driven, creative partnership solutions that leverage the R29 brand and capabilities to generate media revenue.

The Client Service skill set at Refinery29 is critical for the commercial organization. We are the day-to-day leads, guiding the development of all proactive and strategic commercial RFP responses. We engage with our cross-functional teams daily including editorial, sales, creative studio and insights - and it is our role to understand the nuances of each brief and guide the strategic response across teams. We are responsible for being both the macro and micro thinkers for the business and our advertising clients.

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to join our Client Service team. This position can be based either in New York City or Los Angeles. It will require a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create best-in-class RFP responses that leverage existing and new R29 capabilities to deliver on client KPIs
  • Drive the RFP process from intake to submission, project managing the workflow across all internal stakeholders 
  • Be the authoritative expert in putting forth the best proposal from overall strategy and narrative to packaging
  • Join sales lead in pitching proposals to client 
  • Be an expert on the client’s business, understand all intricacies of a brief and how the response answers it
  • Leading the mid-sale process after initial RFP submission, routing client feedback and effectively disseminating it to the cross-functional teams
  • Act as category experts to identify blank-space opps, rooted in marketplace needs + insights
  • Maintain awareness of cultural trends, social media platform changes, the competitive landscape

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 Years experience in a similar client facing role at a media/creative agency, rights holder or publisher.
  • Experience in delivering strategic brand partnership programs across digital, editorial, and social video
  • Client facing presentation skills and experience
  • Excellent understanding of digital advertising and the media landscape
  • Detail and solutions oriented
  • Supreme project management skills
  • Above average storytelling skills 
  • Familiar with creative strategy, creative ideation 
  • Experience working with production, video and photo
  • Working knowledge in how talent places a role in strategic marketing 
  • Previous experience in multicultural marketing is a plus

Compensation : The salary range for this role is 90,000.00 - 100,000.00 USD. The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
